Who are we?

We are a group of college-age men and women who are earnestly following Jesus.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through spirit-filled prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and a mission to transform our university, the marketplace, and the world.

Chi Alpha looks like this:

  1. We desire to create a family atmosphere where everyone knows they belong.

  2. We want to learn together in worship, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism.

  3. We want everyone to feel seen and heard.

  4. We want to encourage and build others up.

  5. We want to show the love of Jesus by being patient, kind, gentle, bearing all things and enduring all things with each other.

  6. We want to demonstrate integrity in our actions and words.

Services & Meetings

Discipleship Small Groups

Plan now to get involved in a small group. Groups meet every week and you pick the one that fits your schedule best. For the fall semester we will be walking through the Gospel of Mark. These groups are the best way to get plugged into Chi Alpha, make friends, learn about the Lord, and just have fun together.

Worship & Prayer Nights

We gather together to engage in worshiping God, learn His Word, and be encouraged in our faith. We meet together every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in ADUC on the 3rd floor room 301.

Family Meals

Plan ahead to join us on October 2, November 2, and December 4 for Chi Alpha family time. We will have food and fun for everyone, starts @ 6:30 pm.

Why are we called Chi Alpha (XA)?

In the Bible, the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

Our movement finds its identity in this passage. We believe that God longs to have a relationship with every person, and every "Christian" is an ambassador for Him and that message. Therefore we have shortened Christ Ambassador to Chi Alpha (XA in Greek) and our name is a constant reminder of our mission and purpose to bring people closer to Him.
